They Came from Upstairs was the original title of Aliens in the attic and the first draft of the movie script is very different with characters that are almost all different from how they were in the final movie.

- the aliens are called typhons
- Typhons are very stretchy, like contortionists.

- hannah pronounces aliens wrong saying aylens instead
- the sizematron doesnt make the aliens big but instead reverts them to their original large size. as they make them selves smaller for more efficent space travel.
- bethany is like psychic or something
- the typhons weakness is the common cold? when they catch it their arms fall of and they melt and turn to dust...
- jakes dad is in jail. maybe.
- tom has glasses and an inhaler but hasnt had asthma in a while only keeping the inhaler for comfort
- stuarts failed buisness proposal a robot called the workerbee gets enlarged in the sizematron and is used by the kids to defeat the aliens
