Zirkon is the specified homeworld of the Zirkonians, which is mentioned in the 2009 film Aliens in the Attic. In the animated comic prequel, the planet Zirkon orbits a space station and is located 32.6 hyper-light years from Earth in a distant mega galaxy.
Culture[]
Animals and crops are both farmed on Zirkon, notably in Sector 7, as implied by Skip's mention of "shovelling manure".
Zirkon Bingo is a popular Zirkonian game similar to Powerball. There are only four numbered balls and players use poker chips to bet. It presumably has only two players and is played in an arena and observed by a large audience. Featured in the animated comic, this game was also the reason Earth was invaded as it was General Rankor's property before he was convinced to bet it in a game against General Plexus. Eventually, Plexus bested Rankor and wins the game with a little help from Razor, becoming the high-ranking officer in the Zirkonian military hierarchy.
Zirkonian Flag. Shown in the animated comic
The Zirkonians are known to breed warriors and train them to fight from birth. Tazer was one of these Zirkonians.
Their flag consists of a white 'Z' inside and blue triangle that is on top of a lighter blue circle on a dark blue background. They often say; "Hail Zirkon!" or "Hail Zirkonia!"
The planet Zirkon has planetary rings, and they are possibly viewed religiously based on Tazer saying "by the rings of Zirkon", which suggests the rings are invoked like a sacred oath or expression of awe. This phrase may possibly be akin to how humans might say "by the stars" or "by the gods".
There is a level of sexism in Zirkonian culture mimicking that of our own.
In the animated comic, they have their own reality TV show called "The Real Housewives of Zirkonia".
Biology[]
Though the only Zirkonians we see in the movie are around the same height. They also can be about as tall as a human child. many of the other generals shown in the animated comic are twice the height of skip. though it seems that the majority of the Zirkonian population are on the shorter side, the generls beein majority large as it is a physical advantage that helped them get to that position.
The warrior class are majority two-armed Zirkonians as the four-armed Zirkonians have bodies more suited for tedious mechanical or scientific jobs, and the proportions make them too top heavy and clumsy for work as soldiers. The four-armed Zirkonians top set of arms have split fingers making it easier for them to grasp small fiddly objects.
The Zirkonians are able to breath without an oxygen mask on earth but require a full space suit when they visited the Moon before landing on earth. With that information in can be assumed that the oxygen on Planet Zirkon is similar to our own.
Technology and Weapons[]
Littered throughout the galaxy, on thousands of planets, are centuries-old weapons and technology planted by Zirkonian stealth teams. One of which is the Sizematron, a molecule expander used for enlarging the Zirkonians to invade other species' planets.
The Sizematron is a refined version of the Zirkonian stealth team's previous yet dangerous technology known as the Neurotron, a powerful machine which was originally intended to grant the Zirkonians some unique yet potentially unpredictable superpowers (including the ability to enlarge and blast plasma with their hands at will, telekinesis, and superhuman strength) but the project was shut down due to the machine's unethical purpose.
The Neutron was discarded out of existence, but it was indirectly sent to Earth and crash-lands near Creek Landing, Michigan before it was shifted underground to a nearby lakeside town due to geographical seismic activity, and it remained hidden beneath another secluded lake house, waiting to be discovered for Aliens in the Attic 2 in the future.
Sizematron: Makes the user large.
Gravity Bomb: Suspends gravity in any given area.
Sniper Rifle: A gun that can be loaded with mind control darts.
Zirkonian Flares: Similar to human flares, calls the invasion.
Zirkonian Controller: Controls the movements of a mind-controlled host.
Gravity Boots: Zirkonian army standard issue gravity boots. Renders the effects of the gravity bomb useless.
Gooblionic Ear Dewaxer: Invented by Sparks it is exactly as its name describes.
Neurotron: Grants the Zirkonians extraordinary superpowers to use them at will.
Language[]
There is only one word spoken in Zirkonian which is 'deck' with context clues it can be deduced that this word means sh*t.
"You have failed me, you incompetent piece of— Deck." "Translation not available."
Another word that could be considered a part of their language is "Gooblionic," mentioned in the animated comic in the extras when Sparks is discussing his invention the "Gooblionic Ear Dewaxer." It can be assumed that this is a Zirkonian word as it does not exist in human language.
